Late summer: coastal cool

A short break in North Norfolk inspired these bold designs using Ian Mankin’s signature gingham and ticking patterns

We managed to escape for a couple of days to the gorgeous North Norfolk coast over the summer and came back to the workshop full of ideas for channelling those cool summer vibes through the timeless medium of bold stripes and gingham check.

I spent so many carefree summers on the Norfolk Coast as a child and whenever I return, the big skies, golden beaches and amazing light always inspire me.

We used classic Ian Mankin fabrics to create this outdoor set which captures the spirit of the quieter coastal creeks and secret hideaways we know and love in Norfolk.

We’ve been quietly developing our bespoke outdoor products and specialise in creating made-to-measure box cushions, bespoke tablecloths and complementary table sets to bring a touch of elegance to patio furniture or al fresco dining areas.
