Knowing where, how and what to measure can be a bit intimidating if you’re buying bespoke soft furnishings for the first time. But fear not, we have a tried and tested approach to making sure you get the perfect results!

The best way to kick off your project is by popping into our light and airy studio workshop in Clitheroe, where you’ll be very welcome to browse fabrics, look at our work and chat about your project. There’s plenty of free parking and the kettle is always on. If you’re lucky, we might have some home-made cakes or biscuits on the go…

You can find us on the industrial estate on Lincoln Way. Click here for full directions. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 9.30 to 4.30, but it’s best to ring ahead to check we will be in residence, as we are sometimes out measuring up for clients!

Taking the time to understand our clients’ requirements is really important to us and while we’re happy for customers to take their own measurements,it’s often quicker if we come to you and have a look at the project in situ.* Our Home Measuring Service is all about helping customers on their first steps to new interiors and a home visit allows us to check clearances and fixture placements to ensure curtains and blinds are properly fitted to look their best in your home.

We make a small charge for a home visit – but this is fully refundable if you choose to go ahead and book the work in.

So here are our five top tips for getting started on a successful soft furnishings make-over.

Step 1: Come in for a Cuppa!

Make yourself at home in our studio workshop. We invite you to join us for a friendly chat to discuss your unique requirements. You’ll be welcomed with a warm cup of tea or coffee, and there’s always a tempting selection of biscuits and occasionally even cake!

Step 2: Home Measuring Service*

If you’re unsure about how to measure your space, don’t worry! We offer a convenient Home Measuring Service. Simply arrange an appointment, and our team will come to your location*. We’ll take precise measurements to ensure an accurate fit for your soft furnishings.

Step 3: Choose Your Fabric

At Bee Creative Designs, we provide you with options. You can either purchase the fabric from our carefully curated selection, featuring renowned suppliers including Ian Mankin, Linwood, Clarke & Clarke, Morris & Co, Prestigious Textiles, Chatham Glyn, ILIV, Swaffer, Warwick and Sanderson.

Alternatively, you are welcome to bring your own fabric, and we’ll expertly craft it into beautiful curtains or blinds for you.

Step 4: Book Your Job In

We strive to make the process seamless and hassle-free for you. Once you’ve made your fabric selection, we’ll schedule your project accordingly. Rest assured, we’ll keep you informed throughout the entire process. When your soft furnishings are ready for collection, we’ll let you know.

Step 5: Collect or Arrange Delivery

Congratulations! Your lovely new soft furnishings are now ready for you. You can collect them from our studio workshop at your convenience. If that’s not possible, we’re more than happy to make delivery arrangements that suit your needs. Our goal is to make the experience as easy and enjoyable as possible for you.
