Here at Bee Creative Designs, it’s just not us being creative – you can be too! Our mission has always been to bring creativity to as many folk as we can, through different media – whether it’s art or textile based.

Our dedicated team of experienced tutors are passionate about making things and, most of all, having fun. Over time, we really want to create a vibrant community of creative people who can dip in and dip out of our short and longer courses, get support and inspiration with their own projects, bring friends for a giggle or come alone and make new ones.
Do you remember at primary school, when you were encouraged to be messy and colourful and make lovely stuff? We’re aiming to rekindle those joyous feelings of making something homemade – whilst learning a few professional tips and tricks along the way.
It’s a great way to get to know like-minded people, try out new skills and make stuff filled with joy. We’ll have you dancing a little jig when you’ve stitched a seam your sewing teacher told you, you’d never master or printing a design your art teacher never taught you.
We’ve (not so) secretly been testing out the teaching area in the workshop and we’re ready to roll out both day and evening classes. These will be predominately advertised on our social media feeds, as well as being advertised in the workshop.

Over the course of a few months, we hope to put on a variety of different workshops and classes that will appeal to some of you creative and crafty types. Even if you don’t consider yourself to be creative or crafty – maybe you just want to give it a go?!
All of our courses are currently limited to six people, so you can receive lots of help and guidance. The cost for each course varies according to the amount of resources you are provided with.
Whilst we’re all more aware of our wellbeing and being more mindful since Covid, learning a new skill and taking part in a creative activity is great flow activity – and good for your brain!
We don’t really shout about our female-led, safe and friendly environment, but we know sometimes that can be reassuring to know. If you are thinking about joining a course and want to have a look at the environment beforehand, please feel free to get in touch and come and have a cuppa.

Introduction to dress making

One-day Workshop: The Lucie Bag

Absolute Beginners

Upcycling Furniture – Basic Upholstery
All the chairs you can see here were stripped down, cleaned, painted using chalk paint, sealed, waxed or varnished and the upholstery re-done. I wish I had taken some ‘before’ pictures, as these chairs looked amazing when they were finished – completely different to the velour-clad items they started out as!!

Hand-Beaded Flower Brooches
A more gentle class – no power tools required for this one. Inspired by my group’s painting of flora and fauna, we learnt how to express our work in three dimensions by creating a felted flower brooch and embellished it with beads, sequins and embroidery stitches.
